Scents from Nature was recently distinguished with the status of Gazela 2024 Company, awarded by the Centro Regional Coordination and Development Commission (CCDR Centro), as part of a group of 181 companies from the Centro region of Portugal.
We are proud to be the only company in the municipality of Figueiró dos Vinhos to receive this recognition.
A Gazela Company is a young company with strong annual growth. By positioning themselves innovatively in the markets, they contribute significantly to job creation and regional economic dynamism. In 2024, in the CCDR Centro's 13th survey, 181 Gazela companies were recognized in the Centro region, with a total turnover of 694 million euros and 6,328 employees, mainly small and micro-enterprises.
In short, the Gazela Statute recognizes young, innovative companies with a strong growth rate - characteristics that reflect the mission and path of Scents from Nature. Our factory in Figueiró dos Vinhos, the group's only one in Portugal, is where we produce Eucalyptus globulus Essential Oil, using Eucalyptus leaves and branches, which are by-products of the paper industry.
This process not only contributes to the circular economy, but also plays an active role in preventing forest fires by encouraging the collection of combustible material from the forest floor. It is further proof that growth and environmental responsibility can go hand in hand.
